BGCIC

Participation

Participation is reserved for initiated Brothers of Beta Gamma Chapter.

BGCIC is the philanthropic investment vehicle of the Beta Gamma Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The eligibility rules are set in the BGCIC bylaws and depend on whether you join as an Undergraduate or Alumni Participant.

Universal requirement

Initiated through Beta Gamma Chapter

You must have crossed into Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. via the Beta Gamma Chapter at Virginia State University. Undergraduate Participants enroll during their Initial Membership Development Process.

Alumni Participants only

Financially active in Alpha Phi Alpha

Alumni Brothers must be financially active with the General Organization of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. at the time of contribution to be recognized as a Member in Good Standing with BGCIC.

Participation tiers

Two paths. Equal voice.

Contribution levels differ, but governance does not. Every Participant, Undergraduate or Alumni, carries the same weight in club decisions.

  • Curriculum led by the Financial Literacy Committee

Alumni Participant

For alumni Brothers of Beta Gamma Chapter. The Alumni Participant contribution underwrites the chapter house acquisition and the VSU endowment pledge.

  • Quarterly portfolio briefings and the December Annual Meeting

Not a Participant?

You can still build this with us.

Participation is gated to initiated Brothers of Beta Gamma Chapter, but support is not. Friends of the mission, including alumni from other chapters, family, faculty, sponsors, and community partners, can give directly to BGCIC. Every dollar is reported on the Transparency page.

Sponsorship tiers begin at $500, with named recognition tied to the chapter house and the VSU endowment pledge for larger gifts.
